About Work
Came in as a Marketing & Operations Intern right as Famiclean was trying to get its homecare brand onto Amazon, which sounds simple until you're the one doing the competitor analysis, market research, and product benchmarking that actually gets a new brand noticed on a crowded shelf. Sales went up 10%, mostly because we stopped guessing and started checking what was already working for others.
Operations turned out to be where I spent more time than I expected. Built a small Excel automation for delivery calculations that saved about 2 hours a week, not a huge number until you realize that's 2 hours someone doesn't have to spend doing math instead of actual work.
Also got into distribution, renegotiating channels and tightening things up enough to cut costs by 12%. Nothing flashy, just the kind of unglamorous fixing that quietly improves margins.
Looking back, this is probably where I learned that operations work is invisible when it's done well, and painfully visible when it's not.
